Hi, I'm Mary.

I'm a Christian woman from New Zealand with a knack for finding myself in wonderfully awkward situations. Somewhere between the embarrassing moments, the unanswered prayers, and the unexpected detours, God has been teaching me about humility, grace, and finding joy in the middle of it all.

That Mary Girl grew out of my own journey of faith and the realisation that I probably wasn't the only one whose life hasn't quite gone to plan.

The stories I share come from my experiences and explore everything from embarrassing moments and everyday faith to singleness, church life, waiting on God, and the unexpected twists life can bring. My hope is that they'll encourage you, some may make you laugh, and remind you that you're not alone.

Here you'll find honest stories, plenty of laughter, biblical encouragement, and hope for the journey. We'll laugh about the moments that keep us humble, talk honestly about life's challenges, and celebrate the ways God continues to work, even when life looks very different from the picture we once had in our minds.

Life has surprised me more than once, but thankfully none of it has surprised God. Through every twist and turn, He's remained faithful, and that's the hope I want to share with you.
